Samuel Jesse Allen

January 16, 2008 — January 30, 2025

Corona

Samuel was 17 years old, the third child born to Pastor Corey and Aleta Allen. He was born January 16, 2008 at St. Joseph’s hospital in Orange, California. He departed this life on January 30th, 2025

Samuel attended Olive Branch Christian School during his formative years. He was raised in a Christian home and truly loved God. At the age of 6 Samuel was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Spirit. He regularly attended service with his family and was most at home supporting the praise team from the sound booth. Samuel was a servant, helping wherever there was a need.

He later attended public school at El Cerrito Middle School where he met many of his closest friends. Samuel loved sports and began playing soccer when he was 9 years old. For a short time, Samuel played with the Corona Chargers as a kicker, but after his first year Samuel decided soccer was his game. He excelled in the sport as he studied and pursued it with intense passion. He went on to play club soccer for BYSC, Future, and Legends.

Following his promotion, Samuel attended Santiago High School in furtherance of his dream of playing soccer professionally. He excelled at every level and was named captain of his high school team during his junior year.

Samuel’s joy was radiant. For those that knew him, they could testify that he always found something to smile about and that his smile was infectious. Samuel was very passionate and full of life. He shared his joy at every given opportunity.

Samuel loved his friends and teammates. They were his family. It was so important to him that they were taken care of. Whether on the field, in the locker room, or elsewhere, Samuel exemplified true friendship to his teammates and friends.

Samuel loved Zoey, his girlfriend. They both shared a love for soccer but more importantly they loved each other. They often spent quality time with one another.

Samuel loved his big brother Joseph. Joseph was his late night uber and faithful Best friend he could always count on. Whether buying the latest kicks, bringing home something to eat or having meaningful discussions about life and becoming a man.

Samuel loved his big sister. She was his protector, his hair stylist, his friend, his counselor and his second mom. She always made time for him despite her busy schedule. They shared a special bond that no one could ever replace.

Samuel loved his father and mother. Samuel would often speak to his father about life experiences and future goals while riding home from school. Along the way he often wanted to stop at local fast food restaurants to get a “snack” - which was really a meal. Samuel dreamt of becoming a professional soccer player and taking care of his Mom.

Most importantly Samuel loved God. He was sincere in his faith and relationship with Christ. He always stood for what is right. Samuel walked a path that led others to Christ. He was well liked and admired by many. He left an indelible mark on all those that knew him.

He leaves behind his father Pastor Corey Allen, his mother Aleta Allen, his two siblings Joseph Allen and Mariah Allen, his grandmother Rhonda Armstrong, one uncle Gregory Allen, six aunts; Connie Armstrong, Rochelle Gates, Latonya (Tawny) White, Christy Armstrong, Tanganyika (Tangy) McIntyre, and Gina Moton, and a host of cousins, great aunts and uncles.

Preceding him in death is his grandmother Renee McIntyre, grandfather Michael Armstrong, his Aunt Sherree Armstrong, his great grandmother Ernestine Williams, great grandmother Lucinda Kaid, great grandfather Earl Armstrong Jr. and great grandmother Edith Armstrong.

Samuel will be greatly missed but never forgotten!
