Listen to Obituary

It is with deep love and remembrance that we announce the passing of Sadie Josephine Dove, who left this world peacefully on May 7, 2026, at the remarkable age of 101.

Born on April 8, 1925, in Niagara Falls, New York, Sadie lived a vibrant and beautiful life marked by grace, resilience, strength, and unwavering love for her family and everyone fortunate enough to know her.

As a devoted homemaker, Sadie filled her home with warmth, laughter, and kindness. Her door - and her heart - were always open. She was an extraordinary cook who delighted in feeding others, and no one ever left her table hungry. Together with her beloved husband, she created a home where family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers were welcomed with generosity, comfort, and love.

Sadie had a lighthearted spirit and a joyful presence that made people feel instantly at ease. She found happiness in caring for others and took pride in the family she cherished so much.

Sadie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Dennis Dove (2012), with whom she shared a life centered around family, love, and hospitality; and by her sons, Edward Michael Dove (2003) and Michael Joseph Dove (2017).

She is survived by her loving children, John Dove (Terri), Kathleen Riddle, Joel Dove (Mary Kay), and Christine Sheffield (Peter), along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of compassion, humor, strength, and unconditional love.

Though her family's hearts are heavy with loss, they take comfort in a life so beautifully and fully lived, and in the countless memories she leaves behind.
