It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Peter Efker, a

beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Peter left this world on May 9,

2024, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and

kindness.

Peter was born in Orange on August 13, 1950 to Richard and Charlotte

Efker. In 1960, the Efker family moved to Pasadena which became the

foundation for Peter’s life. In 1968, he graduated from St. Francis High

School and shortly after met the love of his life, Renee. Three years later

they married and started a family.

In 1986, Peter began working at his father’s screen business, which he

took over and renamed Pasadena Screens. “The Screen Man to the

Stars,” as he was known to his family, Peter kept the screen shop open

until 2019.

From an early age, Peter’s humorous nature and hard working

determination touched the lives of all who knew him. His kindness knew

no bounds, and he always went out of his way to help those in need.

Peter had many interests throughout his life, but none greater than his love

for his family. His greatest joy was being a devoted husband to Renee, a

loving father to their five children Christina Efker, Mark Efker (Jennifer

Efker), Richard Efker (Alicia Kissel), Catherine Austin (Michael Austin), and

Caralyn Goudy (Jason Goudy). Peter was a fun grandfather to his nine

grandchildren Gianna, Jacob, Lily, Mason, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Christian,

Emmett, and Jaxon. He treasured every moment spent with his family.

Their home was never empty and always filled with laughter and love,

creating lasting memories that will be forever cherished.

Peter was survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, his sister Karen

Sharkey, and his brother Christopher Efker. His life will be remembered in

a private celebration by his family and friends.

Peter Efker’s light may have faded from this world, but his spirit will forever

shine brightly in our memories. May he rest in eternal peace.
