It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leah Hanoch, a beloved mother, cherished friend, and esteemed curator, who left this world on October 11, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on October 7, 1955, in Guatemala, Leah's journey through life was marked by her passion for art and a deep commitment to sharing beauty with others.
Leah is survived by her beloved daughter, Esther Hanuka, who carries forward her mother's legacy of kindness, resilience, and an appreciation for the beauty in the world. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, each of whom holds cherished memories of Leah's laughter, wisdom, and nurturing presence.
In celebration of her life, a public viewing will take place at Thomas Miller Mortuary on October 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Friends, family, and those whose lives Leah has touched are invited to join us in remembrance. Following the viewing, a funeral service will commence at 4:00 PM, providing an opportunity to honor Leah's life and the profound impact she has made on all who knew her.
As we gather to celebrate Leah's life, let us remember not only her contributions to the world of art but also the love and warmth she shared with everyone she encountered. May her spirit continue to inspire us to cherish creativity, compassion, and connection.
