Julio Cortez Perez

Julio Cortez Perez took his first breath into heaven on March 24th, 2024 in Corona, CA. He was born in Edinburg, Texas on December 19th, 1939 to Gilbert and Cruz Perez.

Julio was previously a pastor at the Home Gardens Apostolic church and was most recently a member of the Fountain of Life church. He had a passion for God and looked forward to sharing the gospel with family, friends and even strangers.

He was gifted to play many instruments like the guitar, piano and the accordion. He enjoyed reading his bible, fishing and singing. However, what he loved most was spending time with his family. Julio was such an amazing person he was like family to many others. He had the passion of helping family and friends, and would do anything for anyone that was in need.

He is survived by his 3 children: Julio Perez Jr., Susie Sanchez and Sherry Zapata, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his lovely wife of 60 years Theresa I. Perez.
