Born in Elmhurst, IL, Gunther was the son of Walter and Dora Mothes. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam. He is survived by his beloved wife Peggy Mothes with whom he had his four children, Cheryl, Kristin, Lee Rusty", and David. His burial was in Riverside National Cemetery on Friday, September 30th.
