Grete Annelise Haupt

“Grete Annelise Haupt passed quietly from this life in her home on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the age of 86. She is survived by her husband, Henry Haupt and their 6 children, 17 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Born on March 5th, 1930 in Vorup, Randers, Denmark, Grete was the second child of Johan Christian and Marie Katherine Dahlin. On June 17, 1950, she married Henry Christian Haupt. They were happily married for 67 years. They had six children, John, Rita, Lis, Sonja, Dorrit, and Helle. In 1982, Henry and Grete emigrated from Denmark to California. They worked together managing a restaurant in LA until their retirement. Grete enjoyed being a photographer and ran her own business for many years. Together they enjoyed snow skiing, going to the beach and the gym. She loved to knit and created many beautiful outfits. Grete had a passion for genealogy, and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Both she and Henry were temple workers for several years. Grete will always be remembered for her missionary zeal, and has left a legacy of unwavering faith and commitment to the gospel and her family. We will greatly miss her, but take comfort in knowing she is with God and that we will see her again.“, “”
