In Loving Memory of
Frank Flores Marmolejo
March 20, 1938 - March 2, 2026
Frank Flores Marmolejo was born in Riverside, CA. He passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, at the age of 87 surrounded by his family.
As a young man, Frank worked in manufacturing mobile homes and water and sewer pipes. He spent many years as a mason in the construction industry as well. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strength and perseverance.
Frank was dedicated to exercising consistently and was very athletic. He trained to be a professional wrestler in San Bernardino, CA, and had a passion for boxing. He was most known as the legendary pitcher for the St. Edwards Catholic Church men's fast-pitch softball team in Corona, CA. The team was a part of the Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation (SCMAF). The Southern Section Finals were held annually in Pomona, CA. Teams from Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside County whom all qualified, participated. Frank led the team to three consecutive Championship Finals and ultimately captured the title in 1969. He had numerous no-hitters and shutouts.
Frank enjoyed playing Dominos and was incredibly good at it. He liked going to Walmart to shop for snacks and loved eating sweets. He easily made friends and was well-known by many.
Frank is survived by his children Donna Plaza (Manuel), Frank Marmolejo Jr. (preceded in death), David Marmolejo, Melinda Lord (Mike), Ruben Marmolejo (Angie), Daniel F. Marmolejo, and Anthony Marmolejo. He leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
