“September 5, 1934 ~ December 3, 2016Erlene Sponheim, 82, Oxnard, CA, Entered Eternal Rest on Saturday, December 3, 2016 with her family present. She was born September 5, 1934 in Altoona, PA. She met and married Robert E. Sponheim June 20, 1957. They lived and worked in Oxnard, CA area from 1957 - 1964 before traveling internationally. When they returned State side, they settled in Sturgis, SD.Erlene worked at the Sturgis Memorial Hospital for many years before returning to CA. She worked for Buena Ventura Medical Group and retired in year 1999.She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Sponheim; three children, Roberta Gigear of Henderson, NV; Barbara Kulasxa of Apple Valley, CA and Robert M. Sponheim of Norco, CA; ten grandchildren and five surviving siblings.The family will have a private ceremony.”, “”
