“Eloise Maebess Campbell was born on September 13, 1922, in Ore City, Texas, to Annie Campbell and Tommie Campbell. There were 7 girls and 2 boys of which Eloise was the oldest girl. All her siblings have passed on before her. She was the last of the Campbells. As a child, she was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church. She did her formal education at New Mountain High School.She came to California in the 40's and met and married Otis Lattimore. To this union they had one child, Carol Joyce Lattimore. After five years of marriage they divorced. Years later she met and married Rufus J. Brown in 1958. They remained married for 38 years until the Lord called him home.Psalms 84:10 - For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.She joined Great Hope MBC and served on the Usher Board and the Mission Department for many years. Later she united with Israel MBC, where Rev. Rodney Howard is the Pastor. She served as an Usher until her health failed.Eloise M. Brown passed away on April 1, 2020 and leaves to cherish her memory, 1 daughter, Carol J. Warsaw (Sylvester, Sr.), 2 grandsons Vincent J. Warsaw (Christal), and David M. Warsaw; 2 great-grandchildren, Vincent Josiah Warsaw & Cheyenne Melissa Warsaw; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.She will be laid to rest along with her late husband at Riverside National Cemetery.nal Cemetery in Riverside, CA.”, “”
