“Age 67, of Yucca Valley, Entered Into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with illness. Born on May 14, 1950, in Oakland, California, he was the beloved son of Paul and Estelle Bates. Edward, or \”Bull\” as he was affectionately known, entered the USMC and proudly served his Country during Vietnam. It was during this time that he earned not one, but two Purple Hearts. Bull retired a decorated war hero and was rewarded by marrying his soulmate, Dena, and together they created a beautiful life together. Sadly, Dena will continue to carry on his legacy as she awaits the day to be reunited with him once again in Heaven. Bull will be forever missed and honored for who he was and what he stood for. Shelter services with Full Military Honors will begin at 12:30PM on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Riverside National Cemetery. 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside, CA “, “”
