It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorrit Elisabeth Solesbee, a vibrant and talented photographer, who left us on October 9, 2025, just days shy of her 65th birthday. Born on October 16, 1960, in Denmark, Dorrit brought warmth and creativity into the lives of everyone she touched. Her artistic spirit was evident in her photography, where she captured the beauty of the world through her unique lens, allowing others to see life from her perspective.
Dorrit's journey brought her to Yorba Linda, California, where she made a loving home with her devoted husband, Michael Solesbee. Later in life they made a new home in Corona, California where they have resided for the past 26 years. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Dorrit's passion and dedication to her craft inspired many, and her photographs will forever serve as a testament to her artistic spirit.
Dorrit is survived by her beloved husband, Michael, whose love and support were a constant source of strength and inspiration in her life. She leaves behind a legacy of creativity, compassion, and an unwavering belief in the beauty of the human experience. In addition she is survived by her 4 sons, Jeremy (Kristen), Anthony (Ashley), Christopher (Lexi) and Travis (Maria); 9 grandchildren, Cove, Primrose, Easton, Huxton, Jacob, Fiona, Gwen, Ava and Hunter.
The funeral services to honor Dorrit's life and legacy will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 1510 Taber Street, Corona, CA, followed by a burial at Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery at 1125 Rimpau Ave, Corona, CA 92879. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Dorrit's remarkable life, share their stories, and reflect on the countless ways she touched their hearts.
As we say goodbye to Dorrit, we remember her infectious laughter, her kind heart, and the beauty she so passionately shared with the world. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
