Dorothy Mateel Cook was born on July 13,1949 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Eleanor & Olivere Atchison. Dorothy married Wayne Cook on December 27,1968 in Big Spring Texas and moved to California to start her new life with her husband.

Dorothy worked at Norco Elementary School as a Librarian. She loved reading stories to the children and teaching.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Wayne Cook, children Gary Cook of Boise Idaho, Rhonda Cook of Turner, Ok, siblings Ralph Atchison of Houston, TX and Patsy Hines of Ingram, TX
