Adolph Guerrero

“Adolph Guerrero was born in Los Angeles, California, on November 2, 1933 to Adolph and Carmen Guerrero. He was one of 5 children. While attending 28th Street School, he met the love of his life, Irma Dolores Lopez, in the 4th grade. Not only were they schoolmates, but they were also neighbors. He continued his schooling at Poly High School and decided to enlist in the Air Force during his senior year. Shortly after turning 18 years old, he married Irma and departed 30 days later for basic training. He served 4 years in the Air Force as an electrician, spending time abroad in Japan and Korea. During this time, he was awarded the Korean Service Medal, United Nation Service Medal, National Defense and Good Conduct medals.During his last year and a half in service, Adolph and Irma moved to Chandler, Arizona. After being discharged, they moved to the Los Angeles area, where they settled and had three children; Cynthia Carol, Stephen Michael, and Jessica Louise. They raised their children in Whittier, California. Adolph held careers that revolved around serving and managing people (Savon Drugs, Exxon, Unitog Uniforms, Guerrero Trucking, and Lincoln Properties). For ten years, he and Irma ran their own business: A & I Spa Service.One of his greatest loves was being with family. He loved playing with his four grandchildren: Scott, Kellie, Christie, and his ten great-grandchildren: Madeline, Trinity, Kaiya, Emma, Adison, Ryley, Ciara, Lexie, Brooklyn, & Clayton; they loved their Papa Lito.He was surrounded by his family: Jim, Cindee, Stephen, Joe, Mark, Jessica, Scott, Gina, Kellie, Josh, Christie, Mike, Amber, & his greatest love, Irma, upon his passing on Friday, September 15, 2017. His legacy of serving and loving others will never be forgotten. He touched the lives of many.
